Today, well yesterday actually

Yesterday's #photoadayaug was "Today" as in yesterday, oh dear!
Anyhoo, yesterday whilst talking to my good buddy Mireille we were discussing wine or rather the lack of in my house ~ shudder! It was yet another warm day so I ventured under the stairs where our small stash of spirits are and discovered a small bottle of Citrus Vodka - perfect to marry with the Mango & Passionfruit smoothie in the fridge. This with ice I can't recommend enough, so here's my recipe recap!!!

In other news we did some more foody shopping, all will be revealed next week ;)

Footstool and a Hole

These titles are getting more and more random!!!

So first my #photoadayaug for yesterday the caption was "hole"
The hole is at the top of the cup with caramel cream bursting out of my frappucino - deeelish and most welcome in the 30 degree heat of Saturday in London.

Next is my latest transfer project using fabulous images courtesy of The Graphics Fairy.
Please excuse the boring photo, the truth is this Ikea footstool doesn't yet have a home :(
It's going to have to wait until we move home, then I'll take a prettier picture to show it off properly :) As with last weeks Napkin Transfer project I used Lesley Riley's TAP, an inkjet printer & an iron - super easy ;)

More Borough Market

The Rabot Estate Chocolate shop was to die for, in terms of product and decor. Such a shame we couldn't buy anything, it would have melted within 30 minutes.

We tasted & shopped for Cheese and Sausages in the Jubilee Market

and croissants for this mornings breakfast

just look at the size of those muffins!

The juice stands were so busy!

A quick peek in Neal's Yard Dairy

and then next door to  Gelateria 3Bis where Kieran must have tasted the whole range before deciding on strawberry & lemon sorbet (with chocolate sauce from the tap!)

Still going!.....

Then to
Spanish Food Specialist's Brindisa - heaven!
(they have an online shop too)

We had lunch at Fish Restaurant which was ok, to be honest we would have preferred to grab a bite at one of the stalls but we were so hot and tired we needed to sit. So we duly paid over the odds for an ok lunch, never mind!

After the market we had a swift drink on the side of the Thames next to the Golden Hind at the Old Thameside Inn before trudging back the car with tummies and bags bulging

stopping off only to get a few shots of the Shard & to grab a Caramel Frappucino ;)

A Fabulous Day :)

London's Borough Market

Yay! Happy Day for me!
I finally got to visit Borough Market in Southwark London.
It was such a lovely day, the sun shone it it was at least 30 degrees C - phew!

The first photo also doubles as my #photoadayaug - Inside
Inside this bun is a BRT
(bacon, rocket & tomato with mustard mayo)

Breakfast buns at Maria's Market Cafe
Deeeeelicious!

But wait! Before that Kieran had already scoffed an amazing Smoked Toulouse Sausage on a stick.....

and tasted some chicken curry!

A few random shots of slurpiness

Hungry yet?!
I'll post more photos in the next post.
Blogger seems to have had enough.

Faces

"Faces" was the #photofthedayaug for yesterday and here's my take on it :)

Kieran & I made a quick visit to M&S for a few school uniform items and a spot of food.
Then later it was Selling WI Craft night where Rosemary taught everyone how to knit a pin cushion or bookmark. I chickened out & took my tapestry!
I will post a photo when I've actually done enough to warrant showing.

Today we are off to London's Borough Market - yippppeeeee!
This is somewhere I have dreamt of going for years but as I've always worked Saturdays it just wasn't to be, today it will be. Will take as many pics as I can and report back tomorrow :)

Have a great weekend!

Food & Twix

not to be confused as one and the same please as Twix is the name of one of our cats...
here he is!
Can you hear him purrrring??!! (just as he dug his claws into my leg, thanks!)

Onto "Food" being the photo word of the day - here is a shot of some Brownies that Kieran made yesterday. Can you believe there were still some left today?!
Chewy goodness :)

In other crafty news I busied myself painting this old wooden storage box.
Don't ask me what's happening to it next yet - any ideas??
Stencils, Stamps, Graphics Fairy images... hmmmmm!

Take care for now

Ready?????

...was yesterdays word on Fatmumslim's Photo a Day

So here's my boy cookin' up a storm mexican style whilst I am ready and waiting to be served lol!
and very good they were too :)
If you're thinking I may now give you a list of ingredients then sadly you are mistaken, I'm handing that baton right over to Mr Old El Paso whom I can't recommend highly enough!!!

And if it matters and you're mildy interested the photo was given a slight lift by one of the clever filters on the Instagram app.

Due to mundane food shopping & a trip to the dentist for Kieran who has a Grown up tooth bursting out of the side of his gum under the baby tooth - omg gross but apparently common and nothing to worry about (barf!) there was no crafting today.

Instead, I busied myself ordering a large tub of mod podge (bring it on!) and 3 tiny books from Printstagram. They look so cute, I can't wait! - $10 for the books & $12 for the shipping (that's for 72 photos, even though they're just 1.7" x 1.5")

I've been pondering a photobook from one of the online printing fellas here in the UK, has anyone ever had one made and can you recommend a Company please?
I'll report back on the above guys when they arrive :)

Take care
